St. Jude's Recovery Center / Foundation for Hospital Art
The Atlanta Chapter and members from across the world joined together at the Atlanta Summit for a unique volunteer effort that benefited the St. Jude's Family Care Center. On Friday, October 26, the Atlanta Chapter led a day of landscaping and interior work at the facility. On Saturday, October 27, we partnered with the Foundation for Hospital Art to host a "PaintFest" at the Georgia World Congress Center in which CoreNet Global members painted murals to beautify the interior of the St. Jude's Center. The theme of the day was "One CoreNet-One Community".
About St. Jude's
St. Jude's has been addressing the problem of substance abuse in metropolitan Atlanta since 1962. It was the first long-term residential treatment program in the area. In 1993, St. Jude's expanded and began treating low-income and homeless women and added basic healthcare services, community outreach, education and prevention programs.
St. Jude's is committed to building a better community and to improving the quality of life for all persons by providing innovative alcohol and drug treatment and prevention services. The Center has provided nearly 700 children and families with the education, counseling, and support needed to deal with a loved one's addiction. St. Jude's Recovery Center is the largest non-profit addiction treatment system in Georgia. It is also one of the only accredited treatment programs serving homeless and low-income adults and families.
