Description

A CoreNet Global Research Bulletin.

The changing nature of work and the workplace has become a leading driver of the corporate real estate (CRE) industry. Like other drivers such as globalization, technology and outsourcing, effective workplace strategies add value to the enterprise and to competitive advantage.

The use of alternate workplace practices (AWS) by large companies is becoming more prevalent. It is the 'next generation' of industry practices that was forcasted to be in place by the year 2010. In addition, higher value is being placed on workplace management. Starting with efficiencies such as cost control, workplace also drives or creates flexibility, customer satisfaction, productivity, collaboration, innovation, intellectual capital, and other forms or strategic effectiveness like employee recruitment and retention.

This report discusses the key findings from the Applied Research Center's (ARC) October 2006 survey.
