NetWork: The Future Workplace proposes a model called "NetWork" as the next evolutionary step for analysis, strategy, design and provisioning of workplaces in a world in which the nature of knowledge work has changed rapidly and radically. NetWork is about truly shifting our focus from "place" to "work," and gaining a thorough understanding of work as the basis for workplace design.
 
Allsteel commissioned the paper's authors--Judith Heerwagen, Daniel Anderson and William Porter--to examine the nature of work and how its social structure is shifting.
