Description

Presentation given at China Chapter Meeting, June 29, 2007.

Mobile worker strategies are becoming commonplace in Asia. In one of the most competitive labour markets in the world, workers expect flexibility. How have we conquered the challenges - density, noise, privacy - associated with implementing these strategies in the context of the Asian business environment? What is working? What needs to be re-invented? What's next?

Meng-Chew Ching joined Nokia in July 2005. Prior to Nokia, he was the Regional Head, Greater China, for SUN Microsystems' Workplace Resources for 9 years, based in Shanghai. Meng-Chew has had many years of experience in the flexible working environment, having set up the first Flexible Office in Asia Pacific for SUN back in 1999 in Hong Kong. Thereafter, he successfully rolled out the flexible office program throughout Greater China for SUN.

Meng Chew is also the Chair of CoreNet Global China Chapter and serves on the CoreNet Global Asia Regional Council.
