With a 29-million square foot portfolio, TVA faced an abundance of surplus and underutilized space and land. A pair of financial and space reduction plans aligned CRE with corporate business planning. The results included multiple consolidations, lease terminations, subleases and sales as well as support from service providers, internal and external ED, site selection assistance and a high degree of senior management support for the initiative for a total savings of $25-million over a 4-year period.
