New Member Orientation

New Members Receive Warm CoreNet Global Welcome

New CoreNet Global members received an enthusiastic welcome to the Atlanta Summit as they gathered for the New Member Orientation on Sunday afternoon. CoreNet Global Board members, staff, and Chapter officers were on hand to make sure the group of 50+ new members hit the ground running for a great Summit experience.

Sherri Parman, CMO, welcomed everyone, promising that CoreNet Global will deliver on the commitment to provide valuable benefits and services, and offered suggestions to help new members navigate their way through the many Summit opportunities.

David Harris, MCR, CoreNet Global Chairman added his welcome to the group. He highlighted networking as one of the key reasons people join CoreNet Global and attend Summits. As he emphasized that CoreNet Global is striving to be a member centric organization, he promised to listen to what these valuable new members want and need. He also emphasized the importance of participation and involvement in association activities and programs.

Next on the agenda, Prentice Knight, CEO, thanked new members for bringing their new ideas, experiences and insights to CoreNet Global and noted that each member adds to the network. He outlined the many benefits of membership and ways that members can get involved. He concluded his remarks by introducing Board members and staff, who gave their own personal welcome.

In a member testimonial, Scott Smith, President of the Atlanta Chapter, shared his perspective on membership and reinforced Prentice's statement as he shared that networking is a key component for him as a member. He urged new members to become involved in Chapters, emphasizing that "Chapters need your help, no matter how big or how small. Get involved, especially in your Chapter."

New members were given the opportunity to ask questions and give their reasons for joining CoreNet Global during the orientation. As one first time attendee said, " I am excited about meeting a lot of people with experience in the same areas as mine and in connecting with them. This is a good opportunity to see what others are doing." Another new member shared that he was eager "to meet people, to learn and to get a better feel of what CoreNet Global is all about."

What better place than the Atlanta Summit to accomplish all this!
