Summit Orientation

CoreNet Global is the only organization in corporate real estate to provide you a Summit experience that has it all. Drawing from a global attendee base, CoreNet Global Summits offer case study reviews, interactive learning sessions, networking with peers, industry tours of the host city, smaller interest group activities, Executive Development training and continuing education -all in one place and in one week! Following is an activities summary, designed to guide you through the Summit experience.

General Sessions
General Sessions are larger gatherings (usually between 1,500-2,000 attendees) which feature big-name speakers who cover topics related to leadership, motivation or the current Summit theme. A combination of education and entertainment, General Sessions often include the distribution of awards and recognitions, not to mention the giveaway of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle during the closing General Session. These Sessions also provide an opportunity for you to sit next to someone you know or meet someone new and expand your network.

Mega Sessions
Mega Sessions are larger-group sessions (between 200-500 attendees each) that cover topics directly related to the Summit theme. Three concurrent one-hour long Mega Sessions are offered on Tuesday morning, featuring professional speakers who cover a particular facet of the Summit theme. These speakers draw conclusions across research and large bodies of work that include many case study examples.

Networking Receptions
Throughout the Summit, there are many Networking Receptions ranging from large-scale events like the Opening Gala or Kick Off for the following Summit (drawing between 1,500 and 2,500 attendees each) to smaller, more intimate and focused gatherings, such as the Women's Reception, Chapter Receptions and Hospitality Events. Networking Receptions both large and small are designed to set the stage for a host of networking opportunities both broad and focused.

Knowledge Communities Networking Events
Knowledge Communities are special interest groups organized by members around topics and industries of interest that interact throughout the year via both virtual and physical interactions. Our Knowledge Communities allow members to discuss important issues, network with other members to share best practices and to interact with thought leaders in these spaces.

Breakout Sessions
Intended to offer a more intimate learning experience, Breakout Sessions are designed around carefully selected case studies to provide smaller groups (between 50-150 attendees each) with industry-related insights that are often consistent with the theme of the Summit. The 45- and 90-minute sessions are arranged in tracks (groupings of sessions by topic) so that attendees can easily find material relating to their area of interest. Between five and nine sessions are offered concurrently during four different time slots, providing you with a variety of sessions to attend.

Executive Development Program Pre-Summit Seminars
The Executive Development Program (EDP) offers excellent learning opportunities that will help you optimize your ability to drive business performance. By participating in either the Senior Leader of Corporate Real Estate (SLCR) or Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) Series, you will learn from industry experts who bring a high level of knowledge, intellectual capital, best practices and case studies that are shared in a classroom setting. By completing the MCR or SLCR Series, you will receive an industry-recognized designation that will enhance your credibility and provide value in an increasingly competitive marketplace. EDP Seminars are 2 days in length, held prior to the beginning of the Summit and provide an intensive learning experience on a single topic.

Industry Tours
Each CoreNet Global Summit host city has the chance to showcase the latest and greatest proven case studies in redevelopment for their region by offering four tours of featured areas on Tuesday.

CoreNet Global EXPO
During each North American CoreNet Global Summit, approximately 150 exhibiting companies come together to bring the latest innovations and solutions to corporate real estate professionals. The EXPO offers networking opportunities and other activities, including giveaways on Tuesday presented by sponsoring companies.
