Airport information

Berlin has 3 major airports: Tegel, Schönefeld and Tempelhof.
  • Tegel Airport, situated North-west of the city centre, has most international and national flights in and out of Berlin. Distance from the hotel: 8 km - 15 mins by taxi
  • Schönefeld Airport, south east of the city, mainly caters for eastern and south-eastern destinations, Asia and Africa. Distance from the hotel: 21 km - 35 mins by taxi
  • Tempelhof Airport, situated south of the city, primarily services short-haul flights to Germany and European destinations. Distance from hotel: 10 km - 20 mins by taxi

Currency
Since January 2002 the EURO has become the
official currency in Germany.

Climate
Berlin's weather is a mixture of an oceanic and continental climate. During the summer daily temperatures reach 22-23 °C but there are also days with temperatures up to 30°C (86°F). The Summit falls at the end of the Summer, beginning of autumn. Layered clothing is recommended.

The dress code for the Summit is Business Casual.

Language
The language spoken in Berlin is German, however English is spoken in most hotels and restaurants.

Tipping
Tips are officially included in all the prices. However it is standard practice to add a tip if you are
