 The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is the U.S. Department of Energy's primary national laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development. NREL develops renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and practices, advances related science and engineering, and transfers knowledge and innovations to address the nation's energy and environmental goals.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems
Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. was recently awarded the Orion crew exploration vehicle contract, a successor to the space shuttle by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Lockheed employs over 10,300 people in Colorado, with 5,500 people working at the Space Systems unit headquartered in Jefferson County. Space Systems designs, develops, tests, and manufactures a variety of advanced technology systems for space and defense. Take a tour of this exciting facility located in beautiful Waterton Canyon.
Fitzsimons / Forest City
The former Fitzsimons Army Medical Base is becoming the launch pad and focus for science and technology development in the Rocky Mountain region.  The $6.3 billion Fitzsimons redevelopment is fast becoming the hub of the region's growing bioscience industry. Currently, Fitzsimons is home to the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, the new Denver Children's Hospital (which opens this fall) and University of Colorado Hospital and medical school. This development is the largest medical-related redevelopment effort in the country.
The Colorado Science and Technology Park at Fitzsimons - the 170-acre area being developed by the Forest City Science + Technology Group - will be an integrated life sciences center dedicated to patient care, education, basic science research, and bioscience research and development. Other new developments at Fitzsimons include new mixed-use buildings of attached homes, hotel, office, retail and recreation space.
T-REX
 The Transportation Expansion (T-REX) Project is a $1.67 billion venture that is transforming the way people in the metro Denver area travel along the southeast corridor of Interstates 25 and 225. The TREX project is adding 19 miles of light rail and improving 17 miles of highway through southeast Denver, Aurora, Greenwood Village, Centennial and Lone Tree. The project is the result of a unique collaboration between the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Regional Transportation District. T-REX construction began in fall 2001 and was completed in 2006. Come ride T-REX and learn about transit oriented development that includes office, retail and residential development around each station.
