The networked world – interdependent connections of people, partners and places – expands and blurs the boundaries of the traditional multi-national business organization and transforms it into an enterprise of increased scope, complexity and risk. These dynamic enterprises are imbedded in a diverse network of local and regional markets – labor, consumer and real estate – that are also continuously in motion. Together, the forces within the global business environment are contributing significantly to the trajectories of Asian prosperity, economics, and culture.

In the center of this whirlwind of change is the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) executive. Corporate Real Estate 2010, the CoreNet Global research program focused on the transformation of the corporate real estate profession, has identified workplace strategy (designing and implementing a network of physical and virtual places) and resource optimization (maximizing the effectiveness of physical assets, technology infrastructure and human capital) as the two primary value-creation strategies for the future.

How, then, are CRE executives in Asia planning to survive and thrive in the emerging, networked world? What new and different workplace and resource strategies are they employing in their continued quest for excellence? How are they aligning their initiatives with other regions of their enterprise and with their enterprise partners?
