Experience a variety of architecture unique to Hong Kong by joining this fascinating walking tour of Hong Kong’s CBD. Led by an experienced Hong Kong architect, you will be given a flavor of the old and the new, the public and the private, as well as an interesting insight into Hong Kong’s bustling way of life.

Two International Finance Centre (IFC2), is Hong Kong’s newest and tallest landmark and is currently the 6th tallest building in the world. Built on reclaimed land, it is part of a US$2.8 billion complex the advance planning and investment in infrastructure has provided a platform for flexibility for the growing needs for tenants. The tour will include a visit to the futuristic command control centre.

The HSBC building has long been a distinctive?Architectural icon for Hong Kong. Standing 587 ft tall,?and featuring?its famed structural lacework as a facia that all can appreciate, this building more than any other in Hong Kong,?continues to be?an example?of?the creative might?that can result?when?human imagination and engineering fortuitously cross. Designed by Sir Norman Foster and completed in 1985, the HSBC headquarters on Queens Road Central, remains on the leading edge of responsible corporate architecture, as well as, the social anchor for Hong Kong's world?famous Financial District and Entrepreneurial spirit.

This site tour will be conducted at the Island Shangri La Hotel and will provide a detailed review of 30 The Bond, Hickson Road, Sydney, the new home of Lend Lease in Sydney and the first move for the organization in more than 30 years. The key to this project was the blending of internal and external communities’ requirements to develop an outcome that was commercially viable from day one.
