New Maps for Real Estate: Europe's Expanding Reach
The 2006 CoreNet Global Summit in Lisbon explores real estate perspectives on Europe's expanding reach to cultures, markets, businesses and partners in the Middle East, Africa and other locations connected by common language and interest, as well as the resulting convergence of companies, corporate functions and communities. Leaders need new maps - new plans for moving forward that support their strategic visions by charting a path through the myriad of viable approaches.
We will examine how convergence blurs the boundaries of the traditional multi-national business organization and transforms it into an enterprise of increased scope, complexity and risk. This process of coming together toward a common point is creating new opportunities and risks for multi-national and domestic organisations alike. How do we mitigate the new and expansive risks whilst exploiting the new and wide-ranging opportunities? How do corporate real estate professionals determine appropriate operating models for the convergence of real estate with support services units like HR, IT, Finance and Purchasing? Which of the new maps is right for your organization?
